IN COLLABORATION WITH EMPORIO ARMANI

When I got the opportunity to photograph pieces from the new Emporio Armani collection, I was delighted to say the least. I've been a fan of Mr. Armani's work since I was in my early 20's, interning at V Magazine, and discovering what fashion was all about.

The resolute modernism of Emporio Armani has always been filled with memories. The Twenties, in particular, are a boundless source of inspiration for Giorgio Armani who in that decade of great ferment and innovation, speed and urban spirit, has rooted an understated, linear and elegant taste. This season in particular the label looks to New York, whose contemporary identity came to life in fact during those years, and condenses the memory into fluid and sophisticated silhouettes with strong shoulders and narrow waistlines.

I took this opportunity to photograph the new collection to also get to know my new neighbour over at Fine FellowFrank Arthur, one half of the men's lifestyle website, Man Of Many. We selected pieces that complimented Frank's personal style and made our way to the industrial streets of Carriageworks to capture the looks and have a few words.

Part 3 of 3.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Ghana, moved to Canada as a baby, then came to Australia at the age of 7 and grew up in country NSW. I studied industrial design at Newcastle University, then moved to London for a year and half, then came back to Sydney in 2008.
